It is therefore best to plant your Rhododendron in a sunny or semi-sunny place and out of the wind as much as possible. The ideal planting time is September to December or February to April.
Rhododendrons grow best in an acidic soil (pH of 4 to 6). However, you can achieve this in any garden: mix peat or spruce soil with the soil in the planting hole and add a bucket of water
Then remove the plant from its pot, loosen the root ball and immerse it in a bucket of water. Plant the Rhododendron in the planting hole and water again sufficiently. To finish, add an extra layer of peat or tree bark on top of the soil. Then you prevent the upper roots from drying out.
